(no subject)

New medical ID ordered for my trip away. Went with the dogtag style so I've got something I can chew on when I'm nervous (and also because it's the biggest and can fit the most info) and they threw in a bracelet which I devoted to my asthma.

Seriously, people

If you're on medication or have a condition and you're not wearing one of these, you should be. They even do USB versions so you can store all the complex shit on there.

Don't make me make the frowny face at you. It could save your life.

I've been thinking of one for myself since I'm allergic to a LOT of antibiotics out there. I'm also taking Wellbutrin which increases seizure risk. I've even seen 'em for autism and that makes me really consider it.

I should really get one for my husband, who is diabetic. IDK if I need to get one though.

Mine lists my PTSD and Autism. If I'm sick or hurt and having a freakout, it's easier than explaining why. Antibiotic allergy is a really, really good reason to get one, especially if the reaction is a serious one.

If you're on medication it can't hurt, especially since a lot of drugs have interactions or side-effects which might come into play at the worst possible time. I had that when I was backpacking - Seroquel makes you really sensitive to heat, and so I got heatstroke way faster than anyone was expecting.

Maybe I could put "multiple medications/panic disorder" (if it will fit!)

It will fit (depending on the style you go for, obviously). They let you preview what the engraving will look like before you buy, so you can get something you're definitely satisfied with.
