Would it be out of line to say "respect, and for people to listen directly to them" as "what autistic people want"? Seems like the accurate baseline minimum to me.

Aye. See that at least involves some thought. The shit that annoys me is the 'share this if you care!!!!!1' facebook crap claiming 'we' don't want special treatment or a cure or etc, we just want to be accepted, all the standard speaking for us rhetoric.
